Rishi Valmiki recorded in the Ramayana the positions of the stars and nakshatras at the time of Lord Ram's birth. Researchers fed these positions into planetarium software, the kind used by NASA and the Nehru Planetarium, and arrived at a date: 10 January 5114 BC, more than 7,100 years ago.
That combination of stars and nakshatras has never occurred again. So every 10 January is Lord Ram's birthday. Jai Shri Ram.
